CLINTON BREWER
Clinton Brewer is a proud Australian, Kombummeri-Ngarangwal man from the Gold Coast area. Clinton's career with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service focused on cultural ecology and animal behaviour, primarily at David Fleay Wildlife Park. He also collaborated closely with Ngarang-Wal Gold Coast Aboriginal Incorporated and the 5 Rivers Native Title Group on heritage and ecological management.
Clinton has represented Kombumerri at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and lectured at Japanese universities on the management of Australian birds of prey in both captivity and the wild.
He believes bioregional restoration and keystone species conservation are essential for reconciliation and community co-design. He advocates restoring Country as a foundation for language, culture, and identity preservation.
Passionate about addressing climate change through community-led cool burning, urban biodiversity safe spaces, and extensive forest restoration, Clinton now works in Renewable Energy, emphasising First Nations engagement and cultural ecology mapping
