LINDA BIUMAIWAI

A proud Mununjali woman and descendant of Bilin Bilin and Nellie Williams, Linda aims to champion initiatives which unite and strengthen the cultural journey of the local community, supporting mob and future generations in their cultural knowledge and pride.

Possessing tertiary qualifications in Arts and Communications, Linda has extensive experience across all levels of Government and the private sector.  She is currently a private consultant and active member of numerous Boards and committees.

 

Linda has a large extended family across the Yugambeh region, currently lives and works on country and is dedicated to leading and realising initiatives which support cultural safety and love across community.

In addition to her role as a YRACA Director, Linda is a Founding Director of the Preston Campbell Foundation, a member of various RAP committees across education, sport and community; and was a member of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Indigenous Working Group which oversaw the delivering of the GC2018 RAP, a Queensland Premier's Reconciliation Award Winner.
